Digiscoping advice.

Hello all. I'm new here and to digiscoping. Equipment is:-
Canon A80
Nikon CP5000
Olympus E500 dslr
Visionary 70mm scope
Griturn swing-out adaptor
Slik SL67 tripod (old but sturdy, and heavy )
On my first attempts using the A80 I couldn't achieve focus via the small lcd screen on the camera. Haven't tried the CP5000 yet. I realise that a lot of practise is needed. I'm wondering whether another means of mating the camera to the scope would make things easier. Any advice would be appreciated Regards, bernardreeves
