Nikon D70 + Celestron 80...
Now this must happen an awful lot (people asking dumb questions on their first post) but as hard as I look on the internet and speak to people in shops no one seems to be able to tell me how I can digiscope with the above combination.
I know that I need two things, one from Nikon, one for the Celestron...but how do I find out what I need?
Sorry!
Richard

I spoke to them and then bought a T-Ring adaptor for Nikon lenses and it works perfectly (although I have some issues with focussing as the D70 only has the normal viewfinder and will not AF with the scope).

Nikon D70 + Optolyth 80 Scope
I used to be able to take photos using my old Nikon 600 film SLR, so I still have the t-ring. Imagine my horror, therefore, when I connect everything up, bung the camera body on to manual, and get a white rectangle every time. I am trying to photograph birds, and digiscoping would be terrific, but obviously there is some depth of technique I lack to get the D70 body to accept the image from the scope as anything but bright white light. I tried checking out info in the net, so have tried also aperture-priority setting on the camera, but then the shutter refuses to press at all.
In short, can someone help me get any image at all please?

Re: Nikon D70 + Celestron 80...
Sometimes its a lot less hassle using a "wee digi" camera, Fuji F30 was fantastic, some of the Nikons (P5000 I think) and the Canons are all good and the results can be amazing. Have look on Birdforum.net and you will see the results and laso have a bigger audience if you want to persue the DSLR route.
Good luck
